On May 4, 2023, the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists announced the nominees for the annual "Lithuanian Exporter of the Year" competition, which has become a tradition. One of the largest companies in the Lithuanian food industry, the joint-stock company "Kauno grūdai," received the award for the second consecutive year.
The Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists selects nominees based on the company's export volumes, achievements in the field of exports, the implementation of advanced technologies, quality, and management systems.
"We are one of the leading food production companies in the Baltic region, aiming to expand our operations in Europe and beyond. The entire team is constantly exploring new markets to supply our products. Currently, we successfully export to more than 50 countries, and our product export volumes grew by 19% in 2022. We look ambitiously to the future and do not intend to stop. We are investing 32 million euros and plan to open a new factory in Alytus next year, whose capacity will double the quantities of our produced goods and expand export volumes to Western Europe," said Andrius Pranckevičius, the CEO of "Kauno grūdai," expressing delight at the award.
